Seboregulative cleansing foam

Cleansing foams are among the mildest cleansers because you just need a little bit of surfactants and the rest is done by the foamer pump.

This extremely mild cleanser has seboregulative properties (thanks to decalact sebum)

and additionally anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. It regulates skin own microbiome with the skin prebiotic and to top all of that goodness we have added Magnesium Chloride to the formulation for its skin soothing properties.

The formulation seems to be complicated but the procedure is quite simple. It is a dump and stir kind of formulation with a few pH measurement and adjustment steps in between.

You can watch the video of making this foam here

Procedure:

1- Blend phase A, B and C in separate vessels.

2- Add phase B to A and blend completely.

3- Add phase C to A+B and stir. It becomes quite ugly at the beginning but turn transparent after a while.

4- Prepare a sample and measure the pH before adding the nicotinamide. Since the viscosity is low you can even measure the pH directly here (you need a sample though to avoid contamination). Make sure the pH is between 5,0-6,5 before adding the nicotinamide.

5- Add the nicotinamide then the two prepservatives. Take another sample and remeasure the pH. Adjust the pH between 5,2-5,5 with lactic acid if necessary.

6- Take your stability and microbial samples and fill the rest in suitable foamer bottles.
