What's happening this week in our lab?

This week we have been busy playing with a new gum and making samples and measuring the viscosity.

Meet Solagum™ GM

This is the newest gum from Seppic portfolio and is very similar to the konjac with the advantage that:

1- It is hydrated cold and immediately (in contrast to the konjac)

2- It has a nicer skin feel

3- It is accepted in China whereas there are some limitations for konjac in China

Solagum™ GM, INCI: Glucomannan is cosmos approved, and Halal certified and is in the process of being NaTrue certified. It is derived from the tubers of
Amorphophallus muelleri.

It creates a much higher viscosity compared to Solagum™ AX, xanthan gum or sclerotium

and it works really beautifully in combination with Solagum™ AX.

We will soon add this amazing gum to our portfolio. For those of you who have been asking for konjac, this will be an awesome replacement.
